Heron Todd White have released their latest Month in Review of Australia’s property markets, once again categorising Townsville at the “Start of Recovery” point of the market.
The report highlighted a growing sales trend for wooden properties in the central older suburbs, including Railway Estate, Aitkenvale and Hermit Park. These properties are proving popular in the current affordable property market for purchasing and renovating. There is also a strong trend with investors looking to undertake renovations and put the property back up for sale, with an active house flipping market currently present.
It is anticipated that the popularity of buying and renovating older properties will continue while interest rates remain low and prices continue to offer good investment opportunities.
