North Queensland's recent weather has brought some much needed relief from an extended dry spell, with heavy rainfall over the last few weeks.
Not only is the city looking green again, but the Ross River Dam has experienced a rapid increase to 88% of its capacity. Just a few weeks ago, it was languishing at approximately 15%.
Townsville's water security has been a concern over the past few years following low rainfall. This recent weather has boosted local confidence and led to lower water restrictions in the city, with residents now allowed to use sprinkler systems again, amongst other changes. This is a welcome change for property lawn and garden maintenance.
